What is Sound & Touch Healing?
Sound & Touch Healing is a method of assessing a person’s energy field using either a Tibetan bowl or tingshaws. Treatments vary depending on the needs of the person. Any combination of instruments may be used: tingshaws and/or different numbers of Tibetan singing bowls.
There are many ways the bowls can be used, for example: a person can be sitting in a chair, with a single bowl being “sounded or sung” around them. Or a person may lie on a BioMat on a massage table surrounded by 4 bowls, with 6 bowls positioned on the person’s chakras and at their feet. There are three small bowls, one on each chakra, Heart, Solar Plexus and Sacral. Another small bowl is placed on the “Third Eye.”
Three bowls are positioned at the feet; one between the ankles, one below the feet on the table, and the last on a stand below the second foot bowl. The bowls are then lightly “gonged or sounded”. I listen carefully to their sound, which tells me about the state of the energy within the person’s body. I pay special attention to these areas during the session.
The cells of the person’s body sense the vibration of the bowls, which stimulates them to vibrate at their optimal rate. The energy blocks in the body occur at places of trauma or stress. The bowls’ vibrations pull the tangled blocks down and out the body. It’s rather like combing the tats out of long hair.
Sound balances a person’s chakras and energy system, helping them to release stress, tension and pain so they may relax and heal. Touch therapies are used in conjunction with sound to enhance the energetic healing, balancing the energy field of the body.
Love, Joy, Healing and Peace,
Susan
